Air's new album is a soundtrack for a hundred year old silent film classic. The version I bought is the one without the DVD but the movie is on Youtube anyway.
I already had "Octopus" on vinyl but felt I needed a CD because I bought "In A Glass House" too, so now I have the first six albums on the same format. Had "Song For America" also on vinyl already but wanted to upgrade so it fits better between the first album and "Masque" (even though this is a remaster and the others are older versions).
"Songs In Red And Gray" was the only Vega (studio-)album I missed previously. Also filled my post-"What's Going On" Gaye collection with "I Want You". Well almost, I still miss "Live at the London Palladium". The Bob Marley project is still going on.
Found Yma Sumac's psych/rock album "Miracles" through some music blog and with the help of Youtube I was convinced to buy the CD. Amazing album!
"Remedies" is quite rare on CD, it usually costs something between 30-100 pounds depending on issue. I was lucky to find the Wounded Bird version on Amazon at £10. Now I have the first three Dr. John albums, not sure if I need more (they aren't that psych anyway?). Although the new album is supposed to be very good. Hmmm... Edit: According to Grooveshark the fourth album "The Sun, Moon & Herbs" sounds hazy enough for me, maybe I'll grab it.
Finally bought "Electric Cafe" and "Tour De France Soundtracks" so I felt like buying "Trans-Europe Express" and "The Man-Machine" on CD too although I had them on vinyl already. All these are old CD versions, not remasters. It seems that "Electric Cafe" is the original 1986 CD issue, whoah.
